Oh my! This has to be my favourite fruit and veg drink of the month! Not sure whether to call it a smoothie or a juice though. It contains all the pulp so technically I guess I should call it a smoothie but it’s a lot thinner than my usual drinks so calling it a juice might be more fitting.
Either way, it’s full of Vitamin C which some articles on the net say are currently helping people with infections.
Most people automatically think of oranges when you mention Vitamin C but papaya is richer in this nutrient. Even Brussels Sprouts have h
- 2 peeled ripe kiwi fruit
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1cm ginger
- 1/2 cup cucumber
- 1/2 cup papaya
- large handful of lettuce
- 12 ice cubes
- 50g water (I used the leftover water from my steamed veggies)
Blitz in your blender or thermomix and drink as soon as you can. Mind you, it you’re like me, this one will be gone in record time!
